Who are we?

Thornton Cleveleys Cricket Club has been in existence since 1937. The club is one of Thornton Cleveleys’s hidden gems with only a small proportion of the Community knowing of its location. The club is based on the Illawalla cricket pitch located on the banks of Skippool Creek, one of the most picturesque locations on the Fylde Coast. 2002 was the most successful season in the clubs history. The senior side won the major honour available, The Palace Shield, whilst the Sunday side were also victorious in their competition. The club boasts one of the most successful junior sections in the area and are guided by the clubs five year plan to provide the ultimate location to participate in the sport of cricket.

Over the past forty years the club has evolved into a successful self-run cricket club. We currently run five senior teams and a further five junior sides providing a great environment for everyone, young or old, player or spectator, to enjoy the game of cricket. The club now boasts 2 playing areas and an "artificial" netting area. We have a bar serving Thwaites Bitter amongst other things and the Ladies section provide probably the finest "teas" in the North West. The clubs aims and ambitions are to offer an environment of which all its members are proud, somewhere to relieve the stresses of every day life and somewhere safe for children to learn and develop the skills of the sport. We aim to maintain the high standards we have set ourselves. We continue to develop our facilities and endeavour to provide the best possible cricketing surroundings for the community and its residents

Match ball sponsor For as little as £25 you can sponsor a match ball for a game. In return we will offer you an advert in our programme and your company or organisations name will be displayed on the club house wall.

Match Day Sponsor Popular with individuals who wish to become involved with the club Match Day Sponsor

As Matchday sponsors you will receive a full page advert in our programme. We will offer you a day as our guests, providing a buffet for 4 people and bar vouchers of £30 for your party. We will also give you the chance to place an advertising board up for the WHOLE SEASON although you must provide the board yourself! We also provide, if requested, a link from our internet site, which had over 100,000 visitors in the 2009 season!

Team sponsor

Why not choose to sponsor one of our senior sides. The First XI, Second XI or Sunday XI all play their home games at Illawalla. In return for your support as Team Sponsor we will provide you and your organisation with three matchday sponsorships and their corresponding benefits. You can kit the side out with clothing displaying your company name and we will open the club up to your business for one of our fun days where your staff or clients can participate in an evening of cricket and entertainment! A tremendous opportunity to get involved in the club and receive maximum benefits

Juniors Sponsor

Boasting 130 junior members and access to all their parents. Want your company to be seen by a wide variety of the community then sponsor our Junior Section. The Juniors are the pride of the club and probably the best on the Fylde Coast. We hold coaching clinics every Sunday Morning and the 5 junior teams play regular league matches. Your company will sponsor the lot! Every match and every coaching session we will promote your organisation. You can provide a board or two to place prominently around the ground and if you want you can kit the kids out in your company logo.

What we do as a Cricket Club your company is associated! We will offer you 4 matchday sponsorships and their benefits. Website sponsorship, Matchday programme full page advert, as many advertising boards as you want around the ground and a Cricket Funday. A day for your business to enjoy our hobby. We will organise a day of cricket and entertainment for you as well as offering you and your employees free social membership of our club for the season to use the facilities as and when.
